Hi My name is Lloyd

I started playing basketball at  age 12 after watching my favourite player, Kobe Bryant, and playing NBA 2K. 

I was then a founding member of Nuneaton Predators when it was set up back in 2015. 

Since joining I have played in the U15, U17 and Men’s divisions for Preds.

 I then started coaching 2 seasons ago with our Men’s second team and am now the coach for our Men’s team.

I started playing Basketball in the 1990's after watching Michael Jordan play and wanting to be 'Just like Mike.'

 
I began coaching in  2018 when my son decided he wanted to play basketball and I took up coaching to share my passion for the game with him

Since starting coaching I have coached teams in both local leagues and National League

I started as a club parent way back in 2020 just watching my son Tommy train but soon wanted to contribute to the club. 
 
I started to learn the game, which included me joining in with the men’s team training. 
I fell in love with basketball and approached the club to help coach Tommys U11s team from 2021. 
 
My first season coaching the U11s team seen us have an amazing season, winning our YBL league and getting to the playoffs final 
 
I’ve followed Tommy through the years and have now just finished coaching two u13s teams which both had equally successful seasons.
 
Onto my third season, coaching two teams again which will be u14s national league and u11s.

I've been in coaching since 2011 when my eldest son started playing. I've coached boys, girls and mixed teams from u9s up to adults in local and national league.

I embarked on my basketball coaching career in 2022, inspired by my son Leo's passion for the sport. When Leo joined the Nuneaton Predators, I saw an opportunity to contribute to the local basketball community and decided to become actively involved. 
 
I started as an assistant coach for the Under 13s team in the 2023/2024 season, and I am looking forward to my first season as head coach for the U13s team in the 2024/25 season
 
I am driven by the joy of seeing young athletes succeed and the love for the game that I share with my son.
